Over the course of the summer the National Center Response to Intervention is hosting a series of free webinars on Curriculum Based Measurement. Learn what CBM is, how to administer it, and how to use the data you collect in a response to intervention framework.
The first webinar, Introduction to Curriculum Based Measurement, will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM Eastern Time.
The second webinar, How to Administer CBM in Reading, will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM Eastern Time.
The third webinar, Other Ways to Use CBM Data, will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM Eastern Time. Pre-registration is not required for these free events.
Who should participate:
District or school administrators, teachers, related service providers and parents who are interested in learning about CBM and how to implement it in reading are encouraged to participate. Participants need not participate in all 3 webinars in the series, but the content of each webinar will build upon the previous one. If you are not able to attend one of the webinars in the series, they will all be archived on our website.
About the Presenter:
Dr. Michelle K. Hosp is a Research Associate at the University of Utah. Her research focus is on using curriculum-based measurement (CBM) to inform instruction in the area of reading. Dr. Hosp has extensive experience using CBM and conducting trainings for more than 15 years as well as a book on CBM. She has been a trainer for the National Center on Student Progress Monitoring for 5 years and is also a trainer for the National Center on Response to Intervention.
