Maggie Trout

Maggie Trout, BA, provides technical assistance to state departments and school districts on MTSS and literacy instruction. She has expertise in evidence-based literacy instruction, differentiation, and data-based decision making. She has supported districts and schools with integrating evidence-based practices into their adopted curricula, and she specializes in creating literacy content and coaching teachers to improve their literacy practices. She has a wealth of school-based experience, having worked with sites to create instructional materials aligned with pacing guides and standards. Previously, she has worked as a classroom teacher, dyslexia tutor, high ability coordinator, reading specialist, coach, and literacy and curriculum coordinator. She holds a Bachelor’s in elementary education from Saint Mary’s College, and is pursuing a Master’s in reading science.
