Evidence-Based Tools and Interventions

The National Center on Response to Intervention has established a standard process to evaluate the scientific rigor of commercially available tools and interventions that can be used in an RTI context. Over the course of its funding period, the Center will conduct annual reviews of tools and interventions in the following three domains: Progress Monitoring, Screening, and Instructional Programs.

The reviews are conducted by three Technical Review Committees (TRCs). Each TRC is made up of national experts who together have developed rigorous evidence standards to guide the review process. All submitters of tools will be required to complete an evaluation form based on these standards. Information on tools will be disseminated through the Center’s various technical assistance activities and through this website.
